“The Last Machine” emerges as an abstract continuation of the Smoke & Mirror series. This blue edition introduces striking visuals and dualistic ideas of human versus machine while accelerating the mechanical aura first established with v5 Denim (2010).
What happens when the shuffling machine becomes self aware? Cardistry is likely one of the last things to be automated due to its hyper specialized and creative nature. But imagining the alternative — a world in which our passion is overtaken by self aware shuffling machines — may lead to us better understanding the current state and future potential of our art form. This is a tribute to the shuffling machine.
Red - The First Human
“The First Human” emerges as an abstract continuation of the Smoke & Mirror series. This red edition introduces striking visuals and dualistic ideas of human versus machine while accelerating the warm aura first established with v6 Rouge (2011).
What does it mean to be a human cardist? Playing cards are fine-tuned to the anatomy of the human hand. Cultural significance and symbols are scattered throughout the courts, pips and numbers. Revisiting these seemingly obvious facts — and either embracing or challenging them — may lead us to better understand the current state and future potential of our art form. This is a tribute to the human hand.

The design of this deck is centered on the joker, which is cleverly linked to the imagery of a door—the joker's tongue is creatively designed in the shape of a door, which becomes the hidden logo of the entire decks.
The specialty paper and subtle embossing process used in the deck provide finer and sharper details between touch and examination, continuing the consistently high quality.
In the illustrations, you can see the ubiquitous image of clowns. They are either sly or quirky.

Sleep Walk shares a design style similar to Room52, but here, you will see a scene behind a door, closely tied to the theme of sleep.
We incorporated numerous sleep-related elements into the design, such as pillows, blankets, and stuffed toys, all completed in hand-drawn form.
Standard Edition
In the scene of dreams, the first thing that comes to mind is the bed—only with a bed can there be a dream.
Closely connected to the theme, the entire process progresses from the door into the room, then from the room to the bed, followed by sleep, and ultimately into the dream, with each step building upon the next in a seamless progression.

Special Edition
In sleep, we often face another issue—insomnia. Insomnia is the opposite of sleep, and it became the source of inspiration for our special edition design.
Compared to the standard edition, the special edition not only features inverted colors but also introduces a completely new index design, with the suits formed by adorable sheep.
To add a unique twist to the deck, we secretly included a wolf among the flock of sheep on the back of the cards. This not only cleverly reverses the tradition of counting sheep but also injects an unexpected sense of fun and tension into the design.
