Back in 2012, Liu Qian sought a deck that would “obey his every command”. He collaborated with Si Scott, designer of Smoke & Mirror, who used a dip pen to draw a silent chameleon — the original SPAR, a sharp weapon for magic.
Thirteen years later, Liu Qian teamed up with designer Lunzi to bring this chameleon to vivid life.
Spar·52 Single Black Deck
The unicycle-riding Joker features two stacked chameleons forming a whimsical balanced composition. Its long tongue coils around the 3 of diamonds, hiding subtle creative details on the card face.
The chameleon serves as a metaphor for magic, embodying the essence of disguise and illusion. Wandering across surreal scenes and curling around heart suits, it transcends simple symbolic graphics, weaving philosophical thoughts of magic into every tiny detail of the deck with playful, surreal creativity.

Spar·52 Purple Gift Box
Crafted from imported textured leather paper, the purple gift box is adorned with an elegant hot silver logo. The dual tins boast premium craftsmanship: pearlescent paper with spot color printing and embossed relief, plus a lenticular box that delivers shifting visual effects when rotated.
Printed on original Japanese cardstock, the surreal and ornate artwork incorporates motifs including rabbits and magic bottles, telling magical narratives and optical illusions through striking visual design.

Spar·52 Green Wooden Box
This exquisitely crafted wooden collector box features piano lacquer finish paired with a glossy gold-flake green base. The top panel carries large-area embedded gold stamping, complete with a custom lock and polished gold hardware.
Card tins combine pearlescent paper with embossing and gold foil, while the playing cards adopt double-sided cold foil printing, shimmering dynamically under light.

While preserving the door-inspired design, we introduce magnetic elements for the first time.
Each deck comes with a set of couplets that can be freely removed and reassembled onto the tuck box,inviting everyone to take part in the ritual through interaction and play.
For this deck, we specially designed a magnetic “Fu” character component,
which can be placed either upright or upside down.
As the card values increase, the number and state of the firecrackers gradually change —from a full string of firecrackers to nothing but drifting smoke and scattered red paper.
And on the court cards, New Year social exchange shifts from spoken greetings to couplets held in hand,delivering the finest wishes from one person to another.
